Schneider Electric | EVlink P2/Wallbox G4 Smart- Configuration for ChargePilot

Before starting the configuration, please check the charger firmware version complies with the latest compatible firmware version.

Connection to the charger

Local connection

Connect to the charger web interface

  1. Direct connection to the charger

    1. For the first time login, or the station has a static IP-address, connect your laptop directly with the charger (stand-alone)

    2. Change the IP-address of your laptop’s Ethernet port to the same IP range

    3. Open your web browser and type in the default 192.168.0.102 or the configured charger IP-address

  2. Indirect connection to the charger via a DHCP server

    1. Connect your Ethernet cable to the router which is also connected to the charger and the DHCP server

    2. Open your web browser and type in the charger IP-address

Ethernet

  • Go to Configuration Network

  • Automatically obtain IP address: ON

OCPP settings

Backend

  • Go to Configuration Supervision

  • OCPP Mode: OCPP-J 1.6

  • WebSockets JSON OCPP URL of the Backend: ws://172.22.0.1:9000

OCPP ChargeBox ID

  • Serial number of the charger by default or according to the installation protocol

Other charger settings

Authorization settings

  • Go to Configuration General Settings

  • Set the parameters:

    • Station type: Supervised

    • Authentication done by: Supervison

Autocharge/Free charging settings

When this function is activated, charger starts transaction either with the identifier predefined in the charger, or with the EV MAC address (Plug & Charge).

  • Go to Configuration General Settings

  • Set the parameters:

    • Authentication done by: Disable

  • Go to Configuration Supervision

  • Set the parameters:

    • Default User ID Tag can be set to e.g. our default tag PLUGANDCHARGE

Offline behavior settings

  • Go to Configuration General Settings

  • Authentication strategy when communication lost: Reject / Allow all badges (according to the site requirement)

It is recommanded to select “Allow all badges”

Energy management settings

  • Go to Energy Management

  • Set the parameters:

    • Load balancing: Disabled

    • Controlled by external system: Yes

  • Click the “Save and reboot” button
