How to Add Single or Multiple IDs for Charging Access

Follow these steps to add IDs to the system:

Important Notes Before You Start

• Ensure that the ChargePilot Controller has internet access so it can retrieve the information about the newly added IDs and make them usable on site.

• The following steps apply only if no third-party billing backend is used. If a billing backend is in place, ID management must be performed there instead.

Option 1: Adding Single IDs

1. Enter ID Name: Provide a descriptive name (e.g., license plate, driver name, or DKV card number).

2. Enter ID Tag:

   • Using a Reader (optional): Connect a USB reader and swipe the card. The ID will appear in the selected field (ensure the correct 14-digit format for DKV cards).

   • Without a Reader: Manually enter the ID. For 8-digit DKV IDs, add 6 leading zeros (e.g., 00000012345678).

3. Add Optional Details: Enter any additional information if needed.

4. Assign Sites: Select the relevant sites where the ID should be active and save.

Option 2: Adding Multiple IDs (Bulk Upload)

1. Download the Template: Download the provided example .csv file.

2. Prepare the File: Add the IDs and names according to the template format (up to 500 IDs per file).

3. Upload and Assign: Upload the file, assign the sites, and save.
